Rod Stewart Postpones Red Rocks Amphitheater Show to 2027

Sir Rod Stewart has postponed his show at Colorado’s legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater to 2027.

Stewart was set to perform at the venue as a part of his “One Last Time” tour on Jun 15 and 16. However, Red Rocks posted a message on X ahead of the show, noting that Stewart was “prescribed strict vocal rest” as “evaluation revealed significant inflammation and strain of the vocal folds.”

Those who purchased on secondary ticketing sites expressed their frustration, as refunds weren’t available, since the show was postponed to next year. One ticketholder, Connie Klibbe, told Denver7 she called StubHub and was told she only has two options: attend the concert on the rescheduled date or resell their tickets.

Another ticketholder, Frank Hoban, said that he tried to get his money back for the tickets.

“We even got the insurance and on the insurance, when you look deep into it, it says you can only get your money back if the show was canceled,” he told the outlet. “So if show isn’t canceled for another year and a couple of months.”

Those who purchased tickets through AXS — Red Rocks’ official ticketing partner — have 30 days from receiving the postponement email to request a refund.

”Once a ticket is sold through an outside market, to a scalper or other party, the venue no longer has control of either the ticket or the money to offer a refund,” Red Rocks spokesman Brian Kitts said in a statement. “Buying from scalpers or unauthorized third party vendors is always risky – there’s no way to know how many times that ticket has been transferred.”

Stewart just faced backlash earlier this week after he cancelled a show due to health issues and then appeared at a FIFA World Cup match the following day.

The 81-year-old singer was set to perform at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, California on Friday, June 12, however, just 40 minutes before the show started, the show was called-off. While Live Nation said the concert was cancelled because Stewart had a recurrence of a sinus infection, Stewart’s team told the San Diego Union-Tribune that he was suffering from an acute upper respiratory infection that led to laryngitis.

Stewart is set to appear next at Wantagh, New York’s Northwell at Jones Beach Theater on July 31.
